foolish mistakes, but whatever, they are all mine.

Posting will be random but may contain fat acceptance, wool, and cats, lagomorphs and corvids in no particular order. Posting may also be sporadic as I have ME/CFS and a bunch of other stuff that makes me tired and some times crabby.

Help Support Crona's (SRS) Sex Reassignment Surgery Fund.

cirquedumemzy:

Hello lovelies.  It’s finally come down to that time where I’m finally ready to take what is for me, the most important life changing step in my transition, which is SRS (Sex Reassignment Surgery) or what is also known as GRS (Genital Reconstruction Surgery).

I’m super excited to finally be able to start planing out this giant leap forward in my life!  My only issue is, like many many Transmen and Women,  scavenging up the funds to have the procedure is quite the struggle.   I don’t want to turn this into a sappy “The Feelz” message so I’ll not go into The Feelz!

I was quoted by Dr Suporn’s clinic 535000 Baht for the procedure, which is roughly $16,600 USD.  Give Forward takes 2.9% for themselves, which apparently can change. The reason I have $24,000 as my funding amount is to cover Airfare, food, and aftercare.

I really don’t like asking for help, but this is super crazy important to me!  Every single donation will help, and I’m also going to be putting money into my own fund as I can.

Thank you very much for everyone’s support, and please please, spread, tweet, reblog, this!

Reblogging my own post, because; Why not?

fuckallies:

On average, you have a 1 in 18,989 chance of being murdered

A trans person has a 1 in 12 chance of being murdered

The average life span of a cis person is about 75-90

The average life expectancy of a trans person is 23-30 years old

75% of people killed in anti LGBT hate crimes are poc

Think about this the next time you go crying over “cisphobia” and “reverse racism”

6 ways transgender women are helping deliver gender equality

According to a recent report from The National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs (NCAVP), titled Hate Violence Against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) and HIV-Affected Communities in the United States in 2012, trans women encounter disproportionate amounts of violence relative to cisgender women: “53.8% of [25] anti-LGBTQ homicide victims in 2012 were transgender women and 73.1% were people of color.”

To attain its ultimate goal of an equal rights amendment, the women’s movement must rise from a coalition of diverse communities. It must include and accept all women, cis and trans gender, to achieve endgame. So far, the victories won with the help of transgender women are extraordinarily impressive, especially for such a marginalized community.

Basically, be nice and respectful to everyone no matter what

help a chronically ill trans queer make rent

sphynx-prince:

my name is Rowan and I’m a 21-yr-old nonbinary femme FTM (post-HRT, pre-OP) with migraines with aura and an anxiety disorder in SE Portland. I am unemployed and actively seeking a job, but am held back by chronic illness and my visible transgender status as well as recent trauma. I’ve posted ads on a number of sugar daddy websites as well with no results. my rent is $500 and I could also use money to pay for bus fare to look for jobs, do laundry, buy new socks & underwear, and renew my ID. my roommates can pitch in on what I can’t pay but I could still use your help. if you can and want to, please click the link to my paypal and donate. everything helps.

I’ve made a Transition Fund campaign on GoFundMe !
I’m Kendra, a full time working-poor camab trans girl, and I’m in need of some financial assistance. I stuck a selfie on this post because people seem to like those.
Given the constant high upkeep costs and looming terror of medical bills for future surgeries, I’ve started a campaign to help me out. As of writing this, my car’s in fairly desperate need of some new tires and other replacement parts, and I’d much rather be able to afford that on my income than having to limit my transition progress.
I usually put my transition above other life expenses, but that isn’t feasible at this point. As a result, I’ve missed several weeks of hair removal treatments, and am currently incapable of driving to appointments. That really stinks!
It costs me around 84 cents for each day’s worth of HRT, so even a dollar helps. Every signal boost helps, too.
Thanks for your interest in helping! I really appreciate it!!

How Do You Describe Your Gender Identity?

“I am a transexual woman.  I am woman.  I’m a woman in my mind and in my soul.  No one is the guarantor of womanhood.  Those people who identify themselves as women are women to me- and I love my womanhood.”

Bringing it back, because I loved this woman’s commentary.

No body owns the definition of womanhood and anyone who thinks they do can fuck right off this planet.

All of you do it.

Not one of you, even the people I am following (minus the trans folk, obviously) have avoided messing up on this. It is subtle, it is small and every time you do it you hammer the nails into our feet a little deeper.

Every time you…

I still catch myself doing this - it drives me crazy because I know better. I will stop it. I will.
